Today Chimera Miniatures went to free comic book day! last year Danielle and I went, this year we got to bring our son Dante, were excited to do this annually every year!, Danielle and I have always been huge comic fans and have attended fairs and expos! her and I have an unhealthy collection of comics, tpbs graphic novels and mangas.
anyways back on track: first we wen't to Trenton and visited J&b books:
Dante was awake and had his first comic book outing:
We grabbed some free loot, and tons of free kids comics/posters for Dante
Bought A game of thrones issue
With the King slayer, Jamie lanister on the cover, I do believe...
and sexy zombie hunter comic called Hack and Slash
Never read it in my entire life, but it called to me beyond the cover haha
We bought 4 issues of mine and Danielles favorite comic we read together, the Walking Dead. we have a fairly expansive collection of both the issues and trade paperbacks!
FOLLOWED BY: White dwarfs warhammer Visions.
We then went on to Belleville to NEED A HERO comic book shop:
for their store opening which had a line up down the parking lot. after a half an hour wait, we finally got in
and on that note we got two bags of free comics!

Dante chose a comic right off the shelf...what did my son pick...he chose...ELEKTRA?!?!
Dante spent the rest of the ride home playing with his comics and his iron man!
Danielle and I both love going out to comic book day and it was amazing getting to take Dante for his first time, i recommend parents everywhere take their kids to free comic book day its great it promotes both reading for kids but also an interest in being imaginative and creative!
Also it gives your kids a great chance to have their photos taken with their favorite superheroes: certain stores only!
