Sons Of Medusa! Round two!

(He is literally built from pieces from 9 different boxsets! He's got scion parts for iconography and chin guard, Guard vox caster back pack, Head from the special edition free spacemarine captain, His hooks are from the fantasy Horsemen boxset along with his Shoulder pauldrons, his force handle, hand, arm gauntlet and wire are from Spacewolves Terminator Boxset, connected to a death company Arm! legs chest and custom axe are from the chaos Khorne berzerkers, helmet is from Fw, that another company customed, And the large purity seal is from the dreadnought! the skull on the carved of Khorne symbol is from an Old space marine back pack! He took a lot of work and carving, but turned out fairly well)

(Nothing with me is ever straight outta the box: His body is Chaos Berzerkers, power fist from Death company, Back pack Is Greyknights, with The Death company Dreadnought search light, the antenna, sidelight and hose are from the scions! and the Head is either Sanguinary angels, or death company, not too sure lol)

"Smashfucker"! is coming along amazingly (now just needs clean up and paint) He's been a mad job to complete, lots of filing, cutting, and parts removal and adding a new, So much for him Being a Death Company Dredd!

Now time for some ridiculously long and hopefully awesome fluff (wip sorta...lol)

The Fuff:

"After the defeat on Istvaan V and the Death of the Iron Hands Primarch Ferrus Manus, what few of his Iron Hands brothers remained were tortured, and killed to the very last man, only one remained Ferrus' loyal Friend, and closest confident and the right hand of manus himself! VERUS Lithius VAINOUS was left limbless and lifeless, Fulgrim refused to kill him, demanding he be tortured for eternity, kept alive in the warp, millions of miles form his brothers kept in stassis and plugged into the unholy Terrem, a device that feeds the knowledge to its bearers form its victim, to learn all the secrets of the iron hands, this gave Fulgrim an advantage against the Ironhands! when Horus gave the hammer, Forgebreaker to the Iron Warriors Primarch , Horus demanded that VERUS be handed over to Perturabo as well, as a gift, with him wen't all the secrets of the Ironhands into the villainous claws of their greatest foe! now during the time of the Emperors Internment, in the Golden throne, the Iron Warriors would use this knowledge in an attempt to seize Medusa from the Hands, gaining them a foothold against the Imperium! 

Perturabo sent A thousand warriors through the warp, on this exodus, holding all the keys to the secrets of Medusa, he would surely conquer it with little resistance! Unknown to the Ironwarriors, The Sons of Medusas Three clans, were on route to the Great Iron council, To form a new allegiance with their old brothers the Iron Hands, Meeting the fleets before they ever reached Medusa, The Iron Warriors were taken by such surprise, By Vaylunds Fleets and defeated, When the Medusans Found their long lost brother VERUS, they removed him from stasis and interned him in the oldest of their prized relic  Dreadnoughts with the greatest of honours, Little did they know he had been in the Warp, and both it and the death of his brothers had affected him beyond, any mans control, When finally awoken his rage was beyond that of a thousand burning stars, it took many Medusans to subdue him, and only with a great mystic blessed holy relic called the "Olympians Chain" was he finally subdued, by the Librarian  SIGIL SEVARION! What Perturabo was not counting on, was  failure, and foolishly sending VERUS back to the Ironhands, and how departmental to the warriors of Iron, this could be, No one has a deeper hatred now for the Ironwarriors, then the Sons of Medusa, and on this hate alone a new found Medusan, clan was founded and the 4th clan would be forever known as The GORGONS Wrath, they are unholy grouping of crusaders hellbent solely on the hunting down of Perturabo deep in the warp, and die to retain and destroy the Terrem to uphold the secrets and knowledge of their once homeworld of MEDUSA! Forever reconstituting the once beloved loyalty between The Sons and the Iron hands, loyal brothers before the great Iron Civil Wars! It has become the righteous duty of the 4th to hunt fallen Primarch Perturabo, and his Iron Warriors until death!"

I will begin priming, and painting tonight after all my old Tactical marines are stripped so...

CHIMERA MINIATURES: many months Back I decided to start a Sons of Medusa, Iron Hands successor chapter Army, form the Badab War! I absolutely love their fluff as I'm a huge Iron Hands fan (which their new supplements fluff really carves them up) and couldn't help myself but to finally start a Spacemarine chapter I'd be more then happy to slaughter with for many years:

The whole army is verrrryy Greeeeeeen, so prepare yourselves we're gonna need a disclaimer: 

now onto more Important and less hilarious thangsss! Heres some MEDUSAN fluff: 

A breif watered down version of the fluff:

The Sons of Medusa are the successor chapter of the Iron Hands hailing from the planet Medusa, After the Moirae schism, a great civil war began! 1000 loyal brothers to Ferrus Manus (the Fallen Primarch of the Iron Hands) and his teachings disagreed with the mechanums  views and were cast aside to help spell the violent war, all the remaining Iron Hands clans were forced under the new councils rule to no longer take arms against their brothers, The  new broken chapter of Moirae Iron Hands would eventually be deemed honourable and loyal by the High Lords of Terra, and from that moment a new Chapter was formed, That of the Sons Of Medusa.

 One of the Reasons (and they're is infact many) I chose the Sons of Medusa is based on greek history, which I Absolutely love historical stories, and myths, and this ones a killer! the story of Medusa and Perseus was always a fav of mine as a child! 

In Ancient Greek Mythology Medusa was a Gorgon (the name of the IRON HANDS PLANET, the word in Greek meaning dreadful!) who had a hideously monstrous face, and a head full of snakes for hair, to directly gaze upon her face, would turn you to stone! the God Poseidon who Was fond of both her beauty and her body, had condemned her to a hideous fate, when his wife Athena found out about the affair! She turned Medusa into a gorgon monster, who forever would no longer be able to gaze upon another man! Perseus with A shield of reflective mirror and a warriors scythe was tasked to slay the monster, using her gaze against her he was able to distract her and be head the monster! allowing him to use her head forever onward as a weapon against those who would trespass against him! until he gave it as a gift to Athena!

Gotta love historical myths, they're as GRIMDARK as the GRIMDARK itself could ever truly hope to be!

I will be fielding the Medusans under the Clan Raukaan Iron Hands Supplement:

 I also have a copy of Imperial Armour 10 which has their rules specifically, but I'm not too excited by the rules themselves, and not all tournaments, and not all local players will play or allow FW rules. This is still A viable option but I'll wait till after the armies completed, and try using both the Codex and supplement, as well as The FW rules, but the Clan Raukaan Codex is just perfectly fluffy for the Medusans (not so much for the Iron Hands themselves) and allows for warlord traits and Gifts of the Gorgon (which you can choose one of each for your army!) that align itself perfectly with what Id like to field:

(The knee markings make no sense lol, they're also going to be on the legs as a pose to the knees! the knees have skulls, and the skulls should be half white and black)

And Finally when I first Started Doing my Research about a year ago, and even before I purchased the Clan Raukaan Codex supplement I began designing and finally built my WARMASTER: master of the forge (he might also be my Tech-priest, or Librarian as Ive built a second Commander), And 1st sgt (they still need names, I may go for a very Roman/Greek esque selection of names):

(The Commander Has the Gorgon Chain, which isn't suppose to be visible, but It works, Note the helmets they're from Forgeworld, and their Armour is made from Chaos berzerkers for the chains, I filed off the Khorne symbols) 

I had a long lengthy Discussion With Graham Mark Cox on the 40k Warhammer facebook group about my Sons of Medusa chapter and he joked/stated he'd like to see a dreadnought in this green style, and made a hilarious joke about hulk smash! and bam this conversion came to mind, I had a good laugh, but was extremely Inspired by his comment, so much so we discussed it for a while! and I've had the Furioso Dreadnought for my BA Death Company half built as the Chaplin, I joked about using the two powerfist clawed hands (I will magnetize him so he can use other weapons too) but that I'd add chains to his fists and chest and file off all the blood angel symbols! It just so happend while reading the Clan Raukaan book there was a painting I found that looks way to much like my DREDD and is a perfect pre-design for the "Hulk Smash joke":

Not entirely sure why he's Medusan Green, something Chaplin specific I'm guessing as the  Medusans Drednoughts are Normally 90% red and 10% green-And the Iron Hands dredds are normally black! they'll be totally super green in my army though, I'm not going to be including too much red (unfluffy as it may be)

Heres what the IRON HANDS pattern Dreadnought is suppose to look like:

Heres the build of my Dredd so far:

 If you notice the cut down librarian Dreadnought sarcophagus front, It was used  to create the new customized front piece...

I had to Remove the Death company "X" plate as its to symbolic of the Blood Angels DC!

Lots of filing and the front skull added, still a WIP, and The dreddy needs to find a pose and then get built!

Its taken alot of work so far, but lots more will be done to achieve my final idea but he'll look killer when he's finished!

Now to to bring this Thread to an end my (still an extreme W.I.P) WARMASTER the FORGEFATHER of the MEDUSANS:

Hes going to have The Gorgans Axe, and The Axe of Medusa trait!

CHIMERA MINIATURES: Dkok 144th Black Knights Basilisk Tank `Helga

A while back I began Construction on a Basilisk Tank for My Forgeworld DKOK Death Korps of Krieg army! Heres a collection of both WIP painting Photos as Well as the preprimed and primed photos:

 Slightly Weathered decals

 The Templar Knights Cross that ended up damaged when trying to put it on the tank, was easily weathered to hide the damage!

 Note the serial numbers, and aquilla on the barrel to mark the production numbers!

The Awesome gentlemen of the Facebook Guard page made some baddass Gas Rules for the Bassilisk making it a one of a kind!

 Note the dog hair, the Kreig Love their furry companions as much as I do! just kidding i`ll be sure to brush off any hair before i Dor the rest of the darkwer rust streaks
